Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Rating: 4/5

I'm gonna do a list of the video games I've played and the rating I give them (from my personal perspective).

I'll start with the first game I played: Crash Bandicoot!

I played it when I was a kid in the first PlayStation. I absolutely loved it. I bought my Nintendo Switch BECAUSE of this game. I saw it was released for Switch, and I already wanted to buy one, so I just gave myself an early birthday present in 2018 ❤️

I haven't been able to finish all of it because I kind of stop playing it depending on my mood haha and also because I'm at the hardest levels and I get frustrated very easy 😂

I give it 4/5 just because I can't pass a lot of the levels and I haven't been able to finish it 😄lol

Spyro Reignited Trilogy

Rating: 4/5

Continuing with the video game list, now let's go to Spyro!

Similar to Crash, I first played it in PS1 and now I have it in Switch. This one is absolutely beautiful and so cute. The levels aren't too hard and it kinda feels good to burn the plants lol.

I haven't been able to finish it just because it was a bit laggy for me (it didn't happen to other friends) and because I wanted to finish each level at 100% completion (it's not so hard to do).

I give it 4/5 just because it lagged, but otherwise it'd be a 5/5!

Until Dawn

Rating: 7/5

I had played the previous two games I mentioned (Spyro and Crash) first when I was little, in the PS1. But I bought them again for Switch around 2018-2019.

This game though, it was the first game I played when I was an adult. Until Dawn is kind of a horror game that makes you feel you're inside a horror movie. Not only that! It features a psychiatrist that asks you questions to know which things are more scary for you (for example spiders vs. centipedes) - and depending on what you answer, is what the game is gonna show you more!

Besides that, the other beautiful thing is that you have to make choices during the whole game, and those choices have consequences later. You play as the different characters (depending on which part of the "movie" you're in) and if you make a wrong choice, the character may die.

Absolutely love this game. I've played it with friends and it's so much more fun that way. I also played it alone at night and it does give you the chills 😁. Total play-through is around 10 hours. Great for a pj party :)

7/5 lol I love this one so much.

Little Nightmares

Rating: 5/5

On to my 4th game - Little Nightmares ❤️

This is such a beautiful, well-done, cute and scary game (yes, both cute and scary at the same time). It's kind of a puzzle kind of game but in the sense that you have to retrieve objects and use them in order to pass onto the next stage.

The story is so good imo and the art is so detailed and beautiful. It made me feel a lot of things while I was playing and understanding the story behind everything (not just scared).

This is def one of my favorite games. I can't wait to play the second one!

I give it 5/5 ❤️

Bad Dream Coma

Rating: 3.5/5

I started purchasing some random games for the Nintendo Switch at some point, and I won't list all of them here, but I did want to mention this one: Bad Dream Coma.

This is also a puzzle-like game in which you have to retrieve and use the right objects in order to advance in the story. The animations are pretty simple, as you can see from the image, but with the sounds they make it pretty creepy.

You can also make some choices in either doing or not doing some stuff and they will give you different endings because of that.

I enjoyed this game a lot. It's so creepy but it doesn't have a bunch of jump-scares, so you can really just focus on solving the creepy puzzles and enjoy the story.

I give it a 3.5/5 (lol yes we're using decimals now) because I did like it, but it's not one of my personal favorites.

Bad Dream Fever

Rating: 2/5

If you're thinking "hmm this looks familiar" it's because the creators of this game (Bad Dream Fever) are the same that created Bad Dream Coma (the previous game I posted).

I thought this one would be basically the same core thing from Bad Dream Coma, but I didn't like this game that much. I haven't even finished it yet because I got stuck and I couldn't advance in the story. I tried to do so many different things but I couldn't crack it in days, so I just lost interest in it 😕

I still wanted to mention it tho because if you liked Bad Dream Coma, you may also try this one out and see if you like it.

I give it 2/5 😔 - I didn't enjoy it that much and I thought it wasn't as creepy as the other one. But it's also not the worst game.

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze

Rating: 3/5

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze!

I was a fan of Donkey Kong when I played it in a Nintendo Game Boy Advance (I only had two games lol) that I owned for a small period of time. I don't even remember which Donkey Kong I had then, but anyway.

I bought this one for my Switch because it had co-op and I wanted to be able to play with friends, but oh god it got so hard! I don't know if it's only me and that I can't play 😂 but I think I've only done like 5 levels or something like that. I can't pass anything from there on.

It was a bit disappointing because I did enjoy my Game Boy Advance game back then and I thought it would be basically the same feeling, but nope hahaha this is way harder.

So, I'll give it 3/5. It's not bad, it's just not what I was expecting.

Yoshi's Crafted World

Rating: 5/5

This one is so freaking beautiful and cute omg I love this game so much. The best part is that it's also a co-op game so you can play with friends!

I love all the characters and I love how everything is built. I love that everything's a craft and I love Yoshi's sounds. I love this game.

It's so easy to finish the levels and there are more challenges to do if you want to spice it up a bit. Also - the pooches 🥺🐶 so cute 😭💕

I give it 5/5 💖

Nintendo Labo - Robot Kit

Rating: 4/5

I know this is supposed to be for kids, but come on! You get to build a "robot" out of cardboard and see how the controls "read" your movements and translate them into the video game.

If I ever have kids, I'm doing all of this with them all over again. Yes, it took me several hours to assemble xD BUT IT WAS WORTH IT.

Also, I didn't have a VR set at that time and it was an awesome workaround :)

In summary, if you have kids and want them to get into a STEM career, this is one hella gift. Just be patient when building everything (it's not really hard, you even get video animations explaining how to assemble everything, it's just a bunch of work :'D).

I give it 4/5 because it is amusing at first and you learn a LOT from it (as an adult), but I quickly lost interest after I built it and played with it for days lol. It's not hard to beat all the levels, so once I did that it was kind of over for me. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I will definitely buy the other sets (I think there are like cars and submarines or something like that) when I have more time. But I think it'd be a whole lot better if I got to explain the functionality to kids who are interested in stuff like this.

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild

Rating: ❤️/5 (yes, that much)

So I hadn't actually played any Zelda games before this one, but oh my god I loved everything about it. I got so obsessed playing this game that sometimes I just slept like 2-3 hours in-between workdays. I just couldn't stop playing, I played for weeks and months!

I loved the story, even though I didn't know anything about Zelda or Link. I loved the graphics, I loved cooking food, I loved fighting with monsters -I LOVED fighting- and I just loved everything about this game completely.

This game takes a special place in my heart and I feel so grateful of finding it at the time I did. I can't express in words what this game means to me. I'm really looking forward to the second one.

I've heard that some people don't like it tho. Apparently this one is super different from the previous or original Zelda games. But if you're new to games (or Zelda, like me), you could try this one out. It's an open world but you don't get THAT lost (I had that fear at the beginning). This is my first open-world game and now I don't feel scared of trying new games like this. I just love it so much. ❤️

I can't even measure this one. It's just a ❤️/5.

Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity

Rating: 5/5

And to continue with the Zelda theme here, one of the latest games I've played is this one: Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity.

It continues the Breath of the Wild story (the previous game I published) and it has a beautiful twist. I read some review that said "It's a love letter to Breath of the Wild" and I couldn't agree more.

This one is not an open world, and it has way more limitations. Most of the missions are timed, so you have to be very quick with the stuff you do and you can't really explore. But hey I did mention that I loved fighting with monsters in the previous game, so this one was perfect for me.

Basically what happens here is that you get to play as different characters, whereas in Breath of the Wild you only played as Link. And you just have to fight the bad guys! That's basically all you do. You have a fixed time to fight the enemies and you get to choose your character. It's not like Smash or Mortal Kombat, if that's what you're thinking. The mechanics and visuals are still like Breath of the Wild, but here you kind of have to follow a specific path and do specific things, so it's not a real open-world.

It's also not as long as BOTW, it's wayyyyy quicker to finish (prolly some weeks). Anyway, some people didn't like it because they were expecting it to be like BOTW and it's not. BUT it has co-op!! I was able to play with my wife and fight the bad guys and it was awesome.

I give it 5/5 :D

Beat Saber

Rating: 5/5

Beat Saber!!!! ❤️ I love this game so much. It's a VR game, you do have to purchase a VR set to be able to play it either on a PC or on PS4. Believe me, it's worth it.

As you can see in the picture, you get some squares and you have to use your lightsabers to cut them in half depending on which way the arrow is pointing to.

It includes some music already, but you can purchase new music from another artists, for example, Imagine Dragons. Kind of like a guitar-hero kinda game.

You can search in YouTube some gameplays to have a better idea of what I mean. They're so awesome!! And if you worry about not being able to play the game, don't worry, it starts from a beginner level and teaches you the skills you need to become an expert. It's so perfect ❤️

Bonus - it makes you exercise!!! I end up all sweaty every time. Specially if you try to go all out moving your body and arms as far as you can. Some blog posts say that this is like playing Tennis, and I used to play around 3 hours a day!

This is one of my absolute favorite games, but now I don't play it too much because I need to have some space to be able to move around and not hit anything. I'll still give it 5/5 😁

Super Mario Odyssey

Rating: 5/5

Kind of like Zelda Breath of the Wild, I got OBSESSED with this game - Super Mario Odyssey. It took me some time, I admit. I bought it and got bored pretty quickly, but then I started playing it again and after I passed to the second world I was loving it.

I wasn't able to finish it 100% because there are a couple of super hard challenges (I'm talking about the New York one...) that I just gave up haha but I pretty much finished everything else.

Tip: there are like 2 or 3 levels in the moon. Some people think the game ends before that, but it doesn't 😁so stick around and continue playing and you'll unblock those additional levels.

This game is so cute and the difficulty is ok. There were some hard challenges but if you keep trying you can do them relatively fast. You don't need to finish everything with 100% completion to be able to continue with the game, FYI. You can just finish the whole game with the easy/medium challenges, if that's what you're worried about.

Also - YOU GET TO BE A T-REX!!!!

I give it 5/5 😍

Ah, and you can also take cute pics and apply filters. I spent a lot of time just being a photographer 😂

Katamari Damacy REROLL

Rating: 4/5

Katamari Damacy Reroll - This game is so satisfactory for some reason.

Full disclosure - I didn't discover this game. A friend used to like this game a lot and I saw that it came out for Switch so I bought it because I was out of games 😂 but it turned out to be a pretty fun game!

Basically you're this little guy that starts rolling the ball of objects and you can start capturing new objects with it. It keeps growing until you roll almost everything 😁

It's super satisfactory because you see how you're kind of picking up the objects from the floor or from tables or stuff and it starts looking a bit cleaner haha

However, I got to a level that I can't pass and I was kind of stuck there. I'll give you updates if I ever pass it and finish the game :)

So far, I'll give it a 4/5

Ring Fit Adventure

Rating: 3/5

Thiiissss game...I end up soooo exhausted in like 10-15 min 😂 but honestly it's a great workout.

You need to buy both the actual set (the ring and the other thingie for your leg) and the video game. Normally you can find both of them together in Amazon.

There is a game that you can follow where you have to defeat monsters while running and attacking them using the ring. It's all cardio and a bit of strength in your arms to be able to "shoot."

If you don't want to do that tho, and you want to focus on specific parts of your body, like arms, core, legs, etc. There's also another option where you can select the body parts you want to work on and it'll give you a set of exercises to do with the ring. I promise: you do sweat 😂

The video game is not *great* but that's not the goal. The goal is to exercise and it does a very good job with that! I would love to see more engaging video games in the future though, where you could actually enjoy what you're playing (like Beat Saber, cough cough).

I give it 3/5 cause you do have to *want* to exercise and if that's not your goal, you may stop using it (like me).

Super Metroid

Rating: 3.5/5

LOL this game...So in Switch you have some options to play NES and SNES video games, and I tried a lot of them but I didn't really like them...Except for SUPER METROID!

'Till this day I still don't know why I liked it 😂 I don't normally like old games (cause I didn't grow up with them). But idk, there was just something about this one that kept me engaged. I got obsessed with it at one point and I couldn't stop playing.

At some parts it was so harrdddd and I had to Google how to get over something, or how to achieve something lol (I get frustrated easily 😆), but it was still a good game.

I give it 3.5/5 because while I did like it, I don't think I'd play it again. And since it's an old game, I didn't like the graphics lol. But I'd think about buying it if they got a new version (like Mario Kart).

Life is Strange

Rating: 5/5

My heart...Y'all, this game is so heartbreaking. It's more like a movie than a game (kind of like Until Dawn, but this is not a horror story).

So basically it starts with a story and you're this teenage girl. You can walk around, pick up objects, inspect stuff, and it's like you're playing inside this movie.

It'll ask you to decide stuff sometimes and, well, just as in Until Dawn, the future will be changed depending on what you chose to do.

This one is not about horror, it's about some teens and...The end of the world?

I really liked it, but some people don't like these kind of games because you're not actually "playing" - you're just kind of exploring and deciding stuff to continue with the "movie."

I give it 5/5 'cause it touched my heart. I know there are more parts of this story, but I haven't had the pleasure of playing them yet.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Rating: 4/5

There's not a lot that I can say about this game that you may not already know (woah that was a weird phrasing 😂).

Basically you get to race other players, choose the track, customize your car, and choose your character. The twist is that you can attach other players while racing 😁

You can play alone vs. the computer, or you can play in your living room with up to 4 friends (the screen will split so everyone can see their track), or you can play with other friends online!

It's not all about racing, you can also choose other games like to pick up coins, or to shoot each other's balloons (these ones are played by teams as opposed to individuals).

It's great for a party, tbh.

I give it 4/5 because I really like it when there are friends involved, but not too much for you on your own (unless you just want to practice to beat your friends later).

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Rating: 1/5

There's not much I can say about this one. Maybe it's because I didn't play the previous games? But I didn't like it too much tbh.

The mechanics are ok, the story is ok, I didn't feel too involved tho.

You're basically this guy that used to be a thief along with his brother and then you get a chance to finish something that your father started and so you accept the offer because...I don't know hahaha

I spent the whole game being mad at him because he almost ruined his whole life with a gorgeous wife, just to feel "alive" again or whatever.

I give it a 1/5 lol I'll never play it again and I won't even try to play past/future Uncharted games.

God of War 4

Rating: 5/5

I had already *seen* (cause I didn't play it but I watched while someone was playing) God of War 3 and it looked awesome, but it didn't convince me to play. THIS one tho...

k so you're basically this big guy and you hate the gods so much cause they're a bunch of selfish conceited narcissists. In the previous game you basically killed them all (or almost all) and I don't remember why...

But anyway! In this game, it all starts with your wife's passing and your son hates you because you never really tried to bond with him and you just tell him he's weak all the time (lol dad of the year). And then out of a sudden a guy comes and tries to kill you and the adventure starts!

The whole game you just kill mythical creatures or gods or demi-gods along with your kid :D

I have to be honest tho, I had to set the easiest level because I wasn't very good at these fights xD and I'm not a fan of getting frustrated during a hobby (getting frustrated is my day job ;)

This is so a 5/5 :3 I would've liked a bit more guidance on the map tho. Some stuff was super hard to find and I ended up just googling where they were xD but ohwell maybe it's just me.

Horizon Zero Dawn

Rating: 5/5

This is also one of my favorite gameeesss 💜

I love her sooo muchhh

Ok so in this one you're basically this badass living in a kind of post-apocalyptic world where the machines are the predators (crocodile-like, horse-like, cheetah-like, etc.) and almost all of the animals are now extinct. The few humans that are left are these tribes that don't know anything about the previous world or how the machines were created.

I don't want to talk a lot about the story because it's sooo goooodddd. I'm just gonna say that she's so freaking badass and I love her so much.

About the mechanics, I didn't love that you have to shoot almost all the time. You do get to have different kinds of weapons but most of them are stuff that you point + shoot. The melee weapons are not that powerful at first, so you can't really kill machines with them because they may immediately kill you. You have to think it through and attack from a distance.

And although I don't LOVE shooting stuff, it does give you kind of power-ups to slow down time when falling or stuff like that, and that made it WAY easier and more enjoyable for me.

5/5 no doubt. I can't wait to the second game 💜

Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!

Rating: 4/5

This was a short game! I had also played this game in a Game Boy Advance SP (ya know...the ones that fold) but I actually never finished it. This time I did!

I really liked the mechanics of using the Nintendo Switch's controllers to throw the pokeballs. That was super fun. Also - Eevee is so freaking cute! I loved everything about this character.

I have to be honest, I was trying to get all the pokemons in my pokedex but I finally gave up xD They're just too much.

I mean there's a lot of stuff to do even after finishing the main story, so, if you really liked the game you can still play it! And if you play Pokemon GO, you can kind of sync your pokemons with this game too, which is awesome.

Overall, it's a super cute game to spend the time and if you're having trouble with some gym leaders you can always just use the second controller as a second player and beat them with help :D

4/5 because it was so short lol but I really enjoyed it.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Rating: 5/5

I didn't play this one entirely, but I did a good part of it. So I'm including it here because I feel like I played almost all of it too xd

What can I say? I really enjoyed being a viking and raiding villages lol - there are a lot of things to do besides that. You can 'solve' mysteries, find treasures, burn stuff, play board games, and more fun stuff.

I especially loved the kind of mixup between the Gods like Odin or Loki and the humans. It sort of made me feel inside a God of War/AC crossover (which is dope).

I think this makes it to my favorite games. I'd honestly play more games like this if the story continues (specifically this vikings story). I like the general AC story, but the other games haven't felt this much fun. I guess it's because this is the only vikings one.

So, yeah! 5/5 :)
